pon and zi !
you must have seen them floating around the net...
in my earliest post i blogged about a hilarious one i saw :)
i've seen them on so many friendster pages,
always vaguely wondering where they came from,
but never really looking into it.
until i came upon this one again:
i fell in love!
and it didn't take long for me to find out
that it's the creation of Jeff Thomas,
and I'm sure this crazy trend over his art was definitely something he didn't expect!
I love his sense of humour, the delicacy of his one-frame comics!
The only other one-frame comic that I adored was Gary Larson's Off-Side,
which we seldom see nowadays :(
My top favs <3
is it me or does this give you a warm fuzzy feeling :)
i like that the blue guy is still awake while the girl safely slumbers :)
haha!
this, i think, defines and determines true love.
obviously not into PDA (eh, public display of affection)
reminds me of a certain someone i know. haha
see!
just kiss the girl, i say!
can anyone be immunized from this?
sometimes we're safe from the plague,
but we want in.
you put your heart out there...
waiting for someone to love you..
and guess what happens when love happens...
maybe this is all we're after
at the end of the day.
everyone is moved by a different picture.
what makes your heart skip a beat,
and say,
that was me?

justin timberlake's
FutureSex/Lovesounds Show @ Madison Square Garden was broadcast live over HBO very recently.
If you haven't seen it, do it NOW.
There are 13 parts uploaded, I've covered 9 already.
I think they used over 40 cameras to capture this show live,
and I am constantly amazed by the genius behind live editing.
Also the choreography on the 4-sided stage, of both dancers and musicians,
(and especially how the 4 backup vocalists were actively involved in the show!!)
and the technology of the large screen that draped over the performers itself,
also the light and stage effects.
My sister discovered the clips at about 3am,
and we couldn't tear our eyes off it until we finished all the 9 parts which were then uploaded.
Apparently there is some furor over some Dick In The Box display,
but I haven't reached that part yet.
Yes, apparently THIS is justin.
though I would choose to believe otherwise.
I thought I would definitely want to lay my hands on the DVD
but it seems there aren't any available yet.
but there are already smartiepants who are hawking taped versions of it on Ebay.
I absolutely adore his latest album,
well, his previous album as well.
And dare I say this, I loved NSync as well!
Yeah yeah, boyband...
but they had some acapella tracks (ie. I Thought She Knew) and live shows which impressed me :)
My sis dug out their old album and we forgot how we loved this song Selfish
and the classic Gone.
The last time my sister and I did something similar was
when I brought home the Beyonce B'day album with a bonus MTV DVD.
We had to watch every single MTV until 3am.
take for instance, the video Upgrade U
ooh she's wet, very hot..
wow, rapunzel hair and white fur..
ok she's dancing around in a car boot..
oh, is that lauryn hill? no wait its still her.
omg she's holding a diamond in her mouth freakin sexy
wait wait, are her nails, like platinum?? quick quick rewind and see!!
OMG they are really platinum. like reflective silver. nice nice! i wanna buy!
omg she's lying in like gold stuff damn nice la!...
(video ends)
gimme more!!!
how can anyone make animal print look non-auntie?! except beyonce
my sister just can't get over their heels.
they dance around in them, but without moving their feet from the spot.
aww i miss Destiny's Child.
very classic, this photo.
great set with sparkly lights
shakira shakira...
this Flaws and All video is especially endearing cuz its made to look
home-made vintage...
i only loved the song after watching the MV.
"Listen!! I am alone at the crossroads..."
with extra exaggerated gestures ala musicals when she performs onstage.
i love the 3 chains of different lengths over her wonder woman tshirt.
you have to do the beyonce!
the back-breaking arch when the song hits the climax, at exactly 03:11!!
sigh...
genius, really.
P.S.
random photo of christina aguilera who looks absolutely cute.

2265
our little fang da tong video has hit 2265 views in 5 days!
a fan frm HK even messaged me on Youtube and
informed me that she put up my link of his HK fan club forum :)
how cool is that!
the world is incredibly small now.
i love that it's so so small now and with the right stuff
you can reach just about anyone. :)
This little project has kicked off in a surprisingly pleasant fashion
and i already have more spin-off ideas in my head.
haha!
watch out for more!
coming up very soon :)
on a separate note,
I adore Ratatouille!
it made me a very happy, and happily squealing girl for the night :)
definitely turned my foul mood for the better.
thank you kitty, edmund and of course alfredo for hearing me out that night :)
i love the villain chef!
for his big eyes and penciled-in combover and crazy expressiveness!
LOL
and anton ego the critic!
who just melted into a nice old ahpek after the ridiculous stephen-chow-scene where he is transported back into his childhood when he tasted the ratatouille!!!
HAHAHAHA!
ok i have a thing for villains in cartoons, usually.
and anton ego!
you cannot say that word without slowing down at the 'e',
and you cannot NOT emphasize every syllable.
therefore you cannot avoid it sounding snobbish and snooty.
it's about as good as the name Castor Troy, in Face Off.
which goes down in my book as the perfect villain name to yell in i-want-to-get-my-face-back desperation: Castor F***king Troy!
You also cannot say troy without emphasizing the OY.
how clever.
i digress.
i came home and scoured Youtube for relevant videos.
If you're a fan check this out for
on the producers' motorcycle tours around Paris,
their best dining experiences in the top restaurants,
the excellent movie scoring,
the technical aspects to create the effects for the water,
and to make the food look realistic...
and with a newfound appreciation
i caught the movie AGAIN.
HAHAHA!
am also thrilled by Pixar's short films collection
which unfortunately can't be found anywhere online...
that reminds me...
i was in paris a few years back,
and getting ready to sleep
but chanced upon this film on tv amidst all the french-spewing channels
well, i managed to watch the entire show,
not because i understood french haha
but cuz there was zero dialogue.
ZERO DIALOGUE!
absolutely brilliant.
(ok, i know tom and jerry also zero dialogue, but
THIS was nothing like tom and jerry.)
and if there is zero dialogue,
chances are the music is going. to. be. equally. brilliant.
so by some bizarre stroke of luck i caught one of the best cartoons in my life:
Les Triplettes de Belleville
it is best if you watch this without any prior knowledge of this show whatsoever
because the weirdness just blows you away.
and this weirdness
hooks you
till the very end.
because you just have to know,
what in the world is she doing??!
what the hell is she gonna do next??!
and they sing!
i was hooked.
i fell in love with the oddly shaped characters in Ratatouille,
but it seems that the French have already been there, done that years ago.
anton ego?
the villain chef's lost wife?
anton ego's secretary?
i love ugly cartoons.
more weirdness.
ok... the moral of this story is Youtube rocks. :)
P.S.
speaking of weird cartoons,
i just remembered Spirited Away! and Chihiro!
rocks my socks...
i know after that cartoon,
i fantasized about having a white dragon as my boyfriend for a while.
