This dream honeymoon.
We couldn't have imagined something more perfect.
Newly opened in Feb 2015,
Club Med Finolhu was exclusive, private and so romantic...
We stayed in the Sunset Water Villa,
Each villa also had their own private pool and loungechair,
and steps that led right to the sparkling ocean.

We had breakfast on the patio every morning,
watching the endless sea breathe with each surge and fall,
coloured by the expanse of sky
that painted a different picture each day...
There was hardly anyone
in this spacious and spanking new resort,
and we had a butler at our service,
it was truly relaxing and luxurious...

There is a long bridge from where we dock,
to the resort itself,
which is lined with solar panels.
Club Med Finolhu is fully solar-powered by these panels,
which also makes for perfect gridlines and shadows!
True representation of luxury meets sustainability <3 p="">
Love that they are an eco-friendly resort -
all the water consumed here are provided in glass bottles,
(to reduce plastic bottle wastage)
and is seawater purified through a 7-stage process.

We started each day with a yoga session by the sea,
followed by breakfast at our patio,
then a snorkeling session with the most colourful marine life!
We would then head to the bar which provided
free-flow drinks!
(that made someone really happy)
Lunch and dinner were an exquisite affair -
with a buffet of gourmet stations
of international cuisine
and the freshest catch each day.
We also attended cooking lessons
and went out on fishing trips that were pretty exciting!
Here we caught a dogfish that was so rare
even the Maldivians were ecstatic!
We had an incredible 6d5n here
and it was not enough...
