可不可以 MV Sneak Peek!

i am speechlessly excited about this MV,
which the crew from Playhouse Pictures, led by director Cheong H.H,
tirelessly and passionately worked on to fulfil our dream of the perfect MV.

we had time constraint (had to shoot within a day - 6am - 3am!!!)
budget constraint... (more costs incurred on shoot than was imagined)
weather constraint (our outdoor location was completely rained out!)

but with trembling hands i present this to you...



so much hard work was put in by the film crew,
that i pushed myself to my limits and gave all i could...
just so i wouldn't let them down...

認識老闆edgar和老闆娘florence蠻久了﹐他們都放棄全職工作﹐追求夢想﹐
一心一意想擁有自己的一個地方﹐
分享精緻的甜品﹐好吃的食物﹐
可以幫獨立音樂人和創作人分享他們的作品和聲音。

我讀到他們寫的這個﹐很想哭﹐因為很感動。

我們不是有錢人，不是什麼大人物，也不是生意人。可是這些都不重要！因為我們是瘋狂的人，愛做瘋狂的夢，路上也讓我們發覺這世界上竟然有好多和我們一樣瘋 狂的你們。而你們也成為了我們每天起床、到店裡從早忙到晚、回到家也忙到上床睡覺為止的最大最大動力。 雖然產品或掌聲不屬於我們，可是我們是最快樂最滿足的。

我覺得﹐在這瘋狂的路上﹐

領獎之後﹐我一直望著主持人﹐
因為心裡一直想﹕他們都知道﹐怎麼沒有人告訴我﹗﹗


我的第一個獎項﹐其實完全沒有在我的人生規劃中。
尤其因為發專輯的日期﹐早就錯過被提名新人獎的合格期﹐
所以我萬萬沒有想到竟然還可以得到任何獎項。

真的很感激。

i wanna keep this blog a catalogue of thoughts.

i feel like i've become less personal,
with all the facebook news spam about my latest gigs and latest photos,
and with random boring tweets.

i haven't been sharing much,
because there was a lot i was thinking about, and many things i couldn't openly share.

my label has been working hard and fighting for more opportunities for me,
and i want to thank all of them.

they're not a major label who can call the shots, so it's an uphill climb for us.
these few months, i have been educated on this world of music business, and am still learning.


i like coming back here to blog at length about whatever i wanna say.
so, i want to start over, and say,
here i am!

collecting...

a year and a half ago,
i subscribed to this school of thought:
that unlike most Asian versions of "singer-songwriters",
a singer-songwriter is someone who writes the melody AND lyrics, not just melody.

so i usually start out with a little spark of novelty,
a metaphor,
an emotional quagmire,
and i jot down some phrases.

i would usually scribble rambling thoughts related to my working title or content...
and i would leave it at that.

most of them never get finished.
those that do, they are usually written in one sitting,
like Plastic Mannequin Love and Come Closer.



but i put faith and value in hard work,
and today i played the piano again, and tried singing to some bits and pieces of words that have been written.


just that i ended up surfing John Mayer and watching South Park: Insheeption. LOL
